Door Arrester, Removing And Installing

Removing 

-- Move the door window into the "closed" position.

-- Remove the door trim panel. Refer to FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the lower speaker. Refer to Sound System .

-- Tape off the A-pillar in the door arrester area using adhesive tape, so that the paint will not be damaged.

-- Remove the door arrester bolt -arrow-.

-- If necessary, remove the grommet -2- on the door arrester.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the door arrester -1- toward the inside.

-- Pull the rubber grommet -1- on the door arrester slightly to the side in direction of -arrows A-.

-- Remove the rubber grommet from the door arrester -2- in direction of -arrow B-.

Installing 

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

-- Push the rubber grommet on the door arrester at the same time pay attention to the side allocation of the rubber grommet.

• The labeling for the left or right side must be on top.

Tightening Specifications 

• Refer to OVERVIEW - DOOR .
