Floor Shift Control Knob Replacement

Callout Component Name
CAUTION: Do NOT pull or pry on the shift boot. This action may damage the shift boot retainers.

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Open the console compartment door.
  2. Apply the parking brake.
  3. Place the shift lever in NEUTRAL position.
1 Shift Lever Handle Screw
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten:  4 N.m (35 lb in)
2 Front Floor Upper Console Trim Plate
Refer to Front Floor Upper Console Trim Plate Replacement (LHD w/Manual Transmission) or Front Floor Upper Console Trim Plate Replacement (LHD w/Automatic Transmission) or Front Floor Upper Console Trim Plate Replacement (RHD w/Automatic Transmission) or Front Floor Upper Console Trim Plate Replacement (RHD w/Manual Transmission) .
3 Shift Lever Handle
Tip:  The console shift bezel retainers must be released from the underside of the console upper trim plate.
