Preliminary Procedures

| 1 | Brake Hose Bolt
CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution
.
Tighten: 40 N.m (30 lb ft) |
| 2 | Brake Hose Washer (Qty: 2) Tip: Install the new brake hose bolt washers. Do not reuse the brake hose bolt washers. |
| 3 | Rear Brake Hose Tip: Cap or plug the brake hose to prevent fluid loss and contamination for the brake system. |
| 4 | Brake Caliper Bolt (Qty: 2) Tip: If removing the brake caliper to service the brake system, note that the rear or trailing slide bolt for the brake caliper bolt has an O-ring and is a smaller size bolt. DO NOT interchange the front or rear slide bolts. Tighten: 36 N.m (27 lb ft) |
| 5 | Rear Brake Caliper Tip: Bleed the brake system anytime the system is opened for repairs. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure with RPO BRM) or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure without RPO BRM) or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual with RPO BRM) or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual without RPO BRM) . |
