The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
CONDITION/CONCERN
An intermittent rough running concern and/or SES light may be experienced.
Upon inspection, the technician may find history misfires on all cylinders, along with any one or more of the following DTCs P0106, P0107, P0171, P0300, P0502, P1107, P2431.
RECOMMENDATION/INSTRUCTIONS
If SI diagnostics do not isolate the cause of the concern, inspect all MAP sensor circuits for being broken inside of the insulation near the MAP sensor connector
Typically, the break will be within inches of the MAP sensor connector.
If a broken circuit is isolated, follow SI wire repair procedures and re-evaluate the concern.
If no wiring concerns are found, follow SI direction for voltage drop testing of related circuits.
TXL wiring of the correct size along with new terminals are required when replacing any sensor circuits.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
