Overview - A/C Compressor Power Unit, Electrically-Driven A/C Compressor

- With A/C Compressor Control Module -J842- and Electrical A/C Compressor -V470-

- Removing and Installing. Refer to ELECTRICALLY-POWERED A/C COMPRESSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .NOTE:
Check the bolting points of the A/C compressor and the engine bracket prior to installation. The contact surfaces must be clean and free of rust and grease. Otherwise, clean the contact surfaces using the Contact Surface Cleaning Set :VAS6410 . Refer to CONTACT SURFACE CLEANING SET : VAS6410 .
The Electrical A/C Compressor -V470- is supplied with electric energy via a fuse installed in the Electric Drive Power and Control Electronics -JX1-. Refer to ELECTRICAL A/C COMPRESSOR FUSE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING , and the appropriate Wiring Diagram(s).
There are different versions depending on the refrigerant (R134a or R1234yf).
- Refrigerant Line
- High pressure side
- Bolt
- Tightening specification: 9 Nm (bolts with a M6 thread) and 25 Nm (bolts with a M8 thread).
- O-Ring
- To replace. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS and to the Parts Information for the correct version.
- Lubricate lightly with refrigerant oil before installing
- Bolt
- Steel bolt tightening specification 25 Nm
- There are different versions.NOTE:
If the A/C compressor is secured with aluminum bolts (There are different versions.), use the aluminum bolts only once, then replace. Aluminum bolt tightening specification:8 Nm + 180°.
- Ground Wire
- Check the contact surface before attaching and clean if necessary. Refer to CONTACT SURFACE CLEANING SET : VAS6410
.NOTE:
The contact surfaces must be clean and free of rust and grease. Otherwise, clean the contact surfaces using the Contact Surface Cleaning Set :VAS6410 . Refer to CONTACT SURFACE CLEANING SET : VAS6410 .

- Tightening specification: 9 Nm (bolts with a M6 thread) and 25 Nm (bolts with a M8 thread).
- 8-Pin Connector
- With the control cable from the control unit Climatronic Control Module -J255- refer to the appropriate Wiring Diagram(s).
- High-Voltage Cable to Electric Drive Power and Control Electronics -JX1- (with High-Voltage Battery Charger Control Module -J1050-)
