Removal And Installation: Installation
Special Tool(s): 204-506/1 , 204-506/2 , 204-506/5
- CAUTION:
- To prevent the wheel knuckle falling outwards and disconnection of the halfshaft inner joint, support the wheel knuckle.
- Nuts and bolts must be tightened with vehicle at normal ride height.
- Make sure that a new bolt is installed.
Renew Part: Lower control arm bolt(s) Quantity: 1 .
Torque Specifications:
Stage 1: 70 Nm
Stage 2: 240°
- CAUTION: Nuts and bolts must be tightened with vehicle at normal ride height.
Renew Part: Rear upper arm to wheel knuckle nut and bolt Quantity: 1 .
Torque Specifications:
Stage 1: 50 Nm
Stage 2: 60°
- CAUTION:
- Nuts and bolts must be tightened with vehicle at normal ride height.
- Make sure that a new bolt is installed.
Renew Part: Rear lower control arm nut and bolt Quantity: 1 .
Torque Specifications:
Stage 1: 70 Nm
Stage 2: 240°
- CAUTION:
- Nuts and bolts must be tightened with vehicle at normal ride height.
- Make sure that a new bolt is installed.
Renew Part: Shock absorber to wheel knuckle mounting nut and bolt Quantity: 1 .
Torque Specifications:
Stage 1: 100 Nm
Stage 2: 240°

CAUTION: This step must be carried out to prevent damage to the air spring.
Refer to: AIR SUSPENSION - MANUAL CONTROL PROCEDURE .
- Tighten the nuts and bolts at normal ride height.
Refer to: SPECIFICATIONS .
- Remove the transmission jack.
Torque Specification: 9 Nm
Torque Specification: 35 Nm
- CAUTION: Make sure that new bolts are installed.
Renew Part: Brake caliper carrier bolt(s) Quantity: 2 .
Torque Specification: 119 Nm
Torque Specification: 9 Nm

CAUTION: Do not use air tools to install the nut. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the component.
Apply the footbrake to aid the halfshaft nut installation.
Torque Specification: 290 Nm
- CAUTION: Do not use air tools to remove the halfshaft nut.NOTE: Discard the halfshaft nut.
Renew Part: Rear halfshaft nut Quantity: 1 .

CAUTION: Do not use air tools to install the nut. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the component.NOTE: Install a new nut.
Apply the footbrake to aid the halfshaft nut installation.
Torque Specifications:
Stage 1: 120 Nm
Stage 2: 60°

CAUTION: This step must be carried out in order to maintain the correct air suspension compressor/dryer performance.
Using Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment pressurize the rear spring.
