Removal And Installation: Removal
WARNING:
- Brake pads must be renewed in axle sets only. Failure to follow this instruction may result in braking efficiency being impaired.
- If the brake pad wear warning light has been activated, a new brake pad wear sensor must be installed.
NOTE:
- Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.
- Left illustration shown, right is similar.

WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.

CAUTION: Do not allow the wheel to contact the brake cooling ducts when removing and installing.
Remove the front wheels and tires.

NOTE: If Equipped.CAUTION: The brake pad wear indicator sensor is easily damaged. Do not use a lever to remove the sensor. Use fingers only.

NOTE: Left side only.
Inspect the brake pad wear sensor for signs of wear or damage. Install a new sensor if necessary.

NOTE:
- Note the orientation of the brake pads.
- Note the orientation of the anti-rattle spring prior to removal.
- Repeat the above step for the other side.
