ISSUE

When attempting to complete the application 'Update Speech Database' in a vehicle which has its IMC/ISC updated to the software level 20A or 20B, the application cannot be completed. The technician is presented with the message below:

  • The infotainment Master Controller (IMC) software is not at the correct level to support this application.
  • Run the application 'Update - InControl Touch Pro' before running the application

CAUSE

PATHFINDER is unable to recognize the latest software levels 20A or 20B.

NOTE: If the technician attempts to complete the application 'Update - InControl Touch Pro' and the manual patch mentioned on the Action of this communication is not installed, the software may be rolled back to the level 19C, if the vehicle is at 20A or 20B level. This may cause mismatches within the module software.
NOTE: We strongly recommend applying the manual patch described on the Action of this message to all of PATHFINDER machines in the workshop. This will disable the option to roll the software back on the IMC.

PERMANENT CORRECTIVE ACTION

This concern has been resolved with the release of PATHFINDER version 301.  The manual patch will no longer be available to download and this SSM will be deleted in 7 days
