ISSUE
CF-D1, CF-19 and CF-53 Touch screen is left inoperative after installation of SDD_144.05.
CAUSE
Incorrect setting was applied to the Symptom Driven Diagnostics (SDD) unit during installation of SDD_144.05.
ACTION
This workaround will load a software file to SDD using the Manual Patch Update process.
This Manual Patch will stay on the SDD machine.
- Login to SDD.
- Select 'Continue ' on the SDD Warning screen.
- Select 'Settings ' tab.
- Select 'System Utilities '.
- Select 'Manual Patch Update '.
- A pop-up will be displayed for Manual patch selection dialog box.
- Enter 'GDS_MT_TOUCH_SCREEN ' in the Manual patch selection dialog box.
- Select 'OK '.
- The 'Software Management Wizard ' will then download the fix file.
- The Manual patch update information pop up will ask 'Do you want to install the update now?' Select 'OK '.
- Select 'OK ' when the message 'Please shut down SDD before continuing' is displayed. DO NOT SHUT DOWN THE PC .
- Welcome to the GDS_MT_TOUCH_SCREEN setup pop up message will be displayed select 'Next '
- Ready to install pop up message will be displayed select 'Install '
- Installing pop up will be displayed with a progress bar when finished select 'Next '
- Completing the GDS_MT_TOUCH_SCREEN setup pop up will be displayed select 'Finish'
- PC will reboot automatically and touch screen will then operate.
