ISSUE

Following resetting the service interval using SDD or manually, the service required message will appear on the Instrument Cluster for a short period during a key through engine start (not turning on ignition before attempting to start).

Vehicles affected (gasoline only): 

L405 2015 Model Year AJ126SC

L405 2015 Model Year AJ133SC

L494 2015 Model Year AJ126SC

L494 2015 Model Year AJ133SC

CAUSE

CAN timing error between BCM, ECM and Instrument Cluster.

ACTION

Revised Engine Control Module software will be made available later in the year (October/November) to permanently resolve the problem and will be communicated via a Technical Bulletin.
