CONDITION SUMMARY
SITUATION:
The washing system for the rear window and/or the rear proximity camera may not operate and washer fluid may also be found under the vehicle.
CAUSE:
The rear washer intermediate connector becomes adrift.
ACTION:
Follow the instruction(s) below.

An allowance equivalent to $1.00 has been allocated to locally source 4 100mm x 2.5mm black cable ties.

SERVICE INSTRUCTION - LEFT HAND DRIVE VEHICLES
- Remove the cowl panel grille for access only (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 501-02: Front End Body Panels - Removal and Installation - Cowl Panel Grille).
This image shows the location of the rear washer intermediate connector grommet.

NOTE: Make sure both rear washer hoses are fully installed in the intermediate connector grommet.
If 1 or both of the rear washer hoses are uninstalled from the intermediate connector grommet, reinstall the hose(s) in the correct location.
- NOTE: The cable ties must be installed in the positions shown in the image.
To secure the rear wash hoses, install 1 cable tie around each intermediate connector inlet on the grommet, as shown in the image.
- Use a suitable tool to remove the excess from the cable ties.
- Test the operation of the rear window wash.
- If the rear window wash switch operated rear window wash as expected, continue to step 7 .
- If the rear window wash switch operated the rear proximity camera wash instead of the rear window wash, the rear washer hoses have been installed in the incorrect locations, continue to step 6.
- The rear washer hoses must be removed and installed in the correct locations.
- Remove both cable ties.

NOTE: Note the location of the rear washer hoses before removal.
Remove both rear washer hoses intermediate connector grommet.
- Install the rear washer hoses in the opposite locations to which they were previously installed.
- Repeat step 4.
- Install the cowl panel grille (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 501-02: Front End Body Panels - Removal and Installation - Cowl Panel Grille).
