ISSUE
After an Infotainment Master Control Module (IMC) software update:
- Phone will not connect via Bluetooth®
- Voice commands no longer work
CAUSE
The IMC software has been updated and the 'Update Speech Database' step did not complete successfully.
ACTION
Pathfinder Vehicles:
- Connect the JLR approved diagnostic equipment to the vehicle and begin a new session.
- Follow the JLR approved diagnostic equipment prompts.
- Select 'ECU Diagnostics'.
- Select Infotainment Master Control Module [IMC].
- Select 'ECU Functions'
- Select 'Update Speech Database'.
- Follow all on-screen instructions to complete the task.
- Lock vehicle and ensure vehicle goes to sleep (Hazard light not illuminated after 7 minutes)
- Check to see if the fault is now fixed.
SDD vehicles:
- Connect the JLR approved battery support unit.
- Connect the JLR approved diagnostic equipment to the vehicle and begin a new session.
- Follow the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment prompts.
- Select the 'Service Functions' Session Type
- Run: 'InControl Touch Pro update speech database'
- Follow all on-screen instructions to complete the task.
- Lock vehicle and ensure vehicle goes to sleep (Hazard light not illuminated after 7 minutes).
- Check to see if the fault is now fixed.
