ISSUE

Request to improve reporting of squeaks and rattle noise.

CAUSE

Current feedback does not always support getting to the root cause of the problem in order to put counter-measures in place.

ACTION

In order to assist JLR in resolving reports of Squeak and Rattle  noise and where a concern has been corrected without replacing any components can please submit an EPQR, with the following information:- If parts were removed and refitted please advise which, ideally with photo's to support your evidence?

What part of the vehicle is affected?

In what conditions did the noise occur (i.e. rough road/cornering)? Please indicate the grid reference in the EPQR using the attached files as a guide. (BE is Body Exterior and BI is Body Interior).

For example when submitting a reference, please refer to the examples listed below:

BE-C7 = Indicates an issue with the rear tailgate.

BI-N15 = Indicates an issue with the front RHS door bin.

BI-G15 = Indicates an issue with the LHS Pillar trim.

Assistance with supplying this information back to Land Rover via EPQR is greatly appreciated and will help provide a solution.

Technicians - Please rate this SSM and provide comments so that future communications can be improved.

1 = Poor - Basic information provided - The SSM does not help me resolve the customer concern.

3 = Average - Adequate information provided - The SSM partially helps me resolve the customer concern.

5 = Excellent - All required information provided to resolve the customer concern.
