ISSUE
When using GCM to create a Technical Assistance (TA), FRED or Electronic Product Quality Report (ePQR), the system currently starts the process by requesting the last 6 digits of the VIN.
As the last 6 digits of the VIN is not always unique, on occasions an incorrect vehicle can be chosen.
ACTION
To increase the accuracy of Retailer input and align with TOPIX, a change will be done to the GCM system to request the last 8 digits of the VIN when creating a Technical Assistance (TA), FRED or Electronic Product Quality Report (ePQR).
This change will be implemented during the GCM update scheduled for the 18th December 2019 at 11:00 (GMT)
