PATHFINDER DISPLAYS AN INCORRECT ODOMETER VALUE

ISSUE

When PATHFINDER is connected to a vehicle and a session is started, it may be noticed that the Odometer value displayed in the vehicle summary strip at the bottom of the PATHFINDER screen is incorrect.

CAUSE

The value read from the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) is being incorrectly decoded by the PATHFINDER tool. This will have no detrimental effect on the vehicle during normal vehicle diagnosis.

ACTION

Should the 'Odometer Calibration' application be required, a TA should be raised for assistance to ensure the correct mileage is written to the vehicle.

If the 'Odometer Calibration' application is not required, then no special action is needed and the PATHFINDER tool can be used as normal. An updated communication will be released when a permanent corrective action is in place.
