ISSUE

A customer may report that the heated steering wheel does not heat up when selected.

CAUSE

Steering wheel harness connections, steering wheel module or steering wheel.

ACTION

When carrying out diagnosis of the concern, please make sure that all relevant circuit electrical connections are secure and have correct continuity.

  • Check security and continuity of all heated steering wheel electrical connections with reference to the TOPIx Workshop Manual.
  • If a concern is identified rectify as necessary e.g harness chafe, loose connector/pins.
  • If a concern is not identified, please disconnect and re-connect all the heated steering wheel related circuit connections and check heated steering operation before consideration is given to component replacement.
