Refrigerant Lines, Disconnecting And Connecting From Condenser: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal and Note The Following:
- Tightening specification. Refer to OVERVIEW - CONDENSER, A/C COMPRESSOR, REFRIGERANT LINES AND EXPANSION VALVE .
-- Replace the O-rings. Refer to the Parts Information for the version.
-- If equipped, check the alignment pin -4- for damage and proper seating.
-- Check the guide ring -2- on the refrigerant line connection for damage.
-- Insert the O-ring -3- into the groove -arrow- on the refrigerant line connection -1-.
Coat the O-rings with refrigerant oil before installing. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
Check the refrigerant pipes leading to the evaporator for contamination and damage.
Make sure the O-rings are seated properly in the groove of the respective refrigerant line.
Routing and securing the refrigerant lines. Refer to ROUTING AND SECURING LINES .
-- Evacuate and charge the refrigerant circuit. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, DISCHARGING WITH A/C SERVICE STATION (R134a) / REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, EVACUATING WITH A/C SERVICE STATION (R134a) / REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, CHARGING WITH A/C SERVICE STATION (R134a) (Refrigerant R134a Servicing, Refrigerant Circuit, Working with A/C Service Station) or REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, DISCHARGING (R1234yf) / REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, EVACUATING (R1234yf) / REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, CHARGING (R1234yf) .
-- Operate the A/C system after charging the refrigerant circuit. Refer to A/C SYSTEM, STARTING OPERATION AFTER FILLING REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT .
-- Check the DTC memory and erase any displayed entries using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
