  2. Visually inspect connectors and harness at the door hinge, mirror base and switch for corrosion, bent pins, or water ingress; repair as necessary.
  3. Verify battery voltage and test power and ground at the mirror switch connector with a DVOM; record readings.
  4. Operate the switch while measuring signal/reference wires for expected voltage changes; note any intermittency.
  5. Perform a wiggle test of the door harness and connectors while observing live data/scan tool faults to reproduce the error.
