Monitor seat position sensor output while moving seat manually or via memory recall; look for smooth analog voltage change or valid position counts; replace sensor if output is noisy, intermittent, or out of range.
Check memory switch inputs (continuity or scan tool input state) while pressing switches; repair switch or wiring if inoperative.
Check CAN communication to seat module (bus active, no errors). If no comms and power/ground are good, suspect module or bus wiring fault upstream.
If wiring, switches, power/ground, and sensor test good but fault persists, consider module software corruption: perform manufacturer-recommended module reset/reflash or memory clear procedure.
If module replacement is required, program/coding may be necessary per manufacturer; after repair, perform memory relearn/store and verify operation and clear codes.
