Diagnostic algorithm

  1. Safety first: ignition key off, wear eye protection, avoid energized circuits when unplugging connectors.
  2. Visually inspect the right park lamp assembly, bulb/LED, socket and connector for damage or corrosion. Replace bulb or LED module if visibly failed.
  3. With connector unplugged, measure resistance/continuity between the lamp contacts and the BCM harness terminal for the right park lamp. Expect continuity when lamp present or near-zero ohms to ground for ground side.
  4. With ignition ON and park lights commanded ON, back-probe the BCM output pin at the lamp connector. Verify ~12 V appears on the supply contact. If 12 V present but lamp does not light, replace lamp/bulb or socket.
  5. If no voltage at BCM output, check fuses and intermediate junctions for open circuit. Trace wiring toward BCM and check for open or damaged sections. Repair any broken wires or connectors.
