  6. Measure motor current during a commanded close. High/stall current indicates mechanical bind or motor/gearbox problem; no current may indicate power or driver fault.
  7. Check latch and striker for proper alignment and operation. Adjust or replace if latch does not indicate closed when door is physically shut.
  8. If wiring, sensors, motor and latch are good, consider module reset/learning procedure per manufacturer. Reprogram or replace module only after verifying external components.
  9. Clear codes and perform multiple open/close cycles and a road or soak test to confirm repair. Re-scan for return of B2593.
