  4. Backprobe the delivered torque signal connector with a multimeter or oscilloscope. With key ON (engine off) and while operating the torque input (or performing a controlled test), observe voltage/duty cycle changes and compare to factory data.
  5. Check continuity between the sender and the receiving module. Look for shorts to battery and ground. Repair any found wiring faults (repair, splice, or replace harness section).
  6. If wiring and connectors are good, test/replace the torque sensor or sending module per OEM procedures.
  7. If replacing modules, perform any required module programming or relearn procedures.
  8. Clear codes and perform a road test to confirm the fault does not return and that related systems operate normally.
  9. If intermittent or communication errors persist, capture live data and consider component swap diagnostics or consult OEM technical service information.
