- With ignition ON (engine OFF) verify battery voltage at the injector feed terminal. No voltage indicates supply or fuse/relay issue.
- Start engine or crank while back-probing the injector control terminal. Use a digital scope or multimeter (set to frequency or duty where possible) to confirm pulsed ground switching by PCM. Look for clean square pulses; absence indicates driver or wiring fault.
- If pulse is present but injector not functioning, bench-test or swap injector with a known-good unit to determine if injector is faulty. If code follows injector, replace injector.
- If no pulse at PCM connector, check continuity/resistance between injector control pin and PCM pin; inspect for shorts to battery or ground. Repair wiring as required.
- If wiring is good and PCM output remains absent or stuck, test other PCM outputs and grounds. Replace PCM only after eliminating wiring and injector faults.
- After repairs clear codes, perform test drive and verify no return of P0207 and that misfire/fuel delivery symptoms are resolved.
