  4. Check fuel rail pressure and fuel supply. Repair fuel pump/filter/regulator if pressure is below spec or fluctuating.
  5. Perform an injector flow test or balance test (on-vehicle or bench) for Cylinder 3 to check for low flow or clogging.
  6. If on-vehicle tests indicate wiring or driver issues, measure injector circuit resistance and continuity to PCM; check for high resistance or short to ground/power.
  7. Swap the Cylinder 3 injector with another cylinder (if practical) and repeat monitoring: if the learned offset or misfire follows the injector, suspect the injector; if it remains at Cylinder 3, suspect wiring/PCM or mechanical problem.
  8. If mechanical fault suspected, perform compression and/or leak-down test on Cylinder 3 and compare with other cylinders.
  9. If injector is confirmed faulty, replace with correct OEM-specified injector and clear codes. Perform any required injector learn/relearn or adaptation procedure according to manufacturer instructions.
  10. After repairs, clear codes and verify learned offset returns to within normal range and no related codes reappear. Monitor vehicle under various load conditions to confirm repair.
