  7. Isolate the actuator module (disconnect it) and observe the bus to see if communication to other modules returns to normal or other network errors clear — this can indicate a shorted node.
  8. If wiring and power/ground check good and the actuator still does not communicate, consider replacing or bench-testing the actuator module. If multiple modules show communication faults, investigate gateway/module or termination resistors.
  9. After repair, clear codes, perform relearn or calibration procedures if required, then road-test to confirm the fault does not return.
