Disable battery again. Disconnect the right curtain airbag connector at the module end and measure squib resistance at the harness connector. Compare to manufacturer specification (low ohm value expected).
If open or out of spec, trace wiring back toward the module, checking continuity and for short to ground/power (with harness connectors disconnected). Repair any damaged wiring or replace corroded connectors.
If wiring and connector are good and squib resistance is out of spec, replace the right curtain airbag module (squib). After replacement, clear codes and perform recommended SRS system checks.
If squib and wiring check OK but the ACM/RCM reports the fault or communication errors persist, consider module programming/repair or replacement per manufacturer procedures.
After repairs, clear codes and perform a full SRS system scan and self-test. Confirm the SRS lamp extinguishes and B0029 does not return.
