What to check

Verify the complaint: attempt to operate the front washer and note behavior
Check washer fluid level and reservoir for obstructions

Measure battery voltage at the pump connector with washer switch off and while commanding the washer
Check ground continuity from pump ground to chassis ground

Diagnostic algorithm

Reproduce the symptom and confirm B0134 is active with a scan tool. Note freeze frame / conditions.
Check washer fluid level and reservoir for blockages. Low fluid may set related sensor warnings; top up if low and retest.
Inspect fuses and relays for the washer circuit; replace any blown fuses and retest.
Visually inspect harnesses and connectors at the washer pump and sensor for corrosion, bent pins, or damage; clean and secure connectors.
With connector connected, command washer pump while measuring voltage at the pump power terminal and continuity to ground at the ground terminal. Voltage should appear only when commanded (or ground should be switched, depending on design).
If no control voltage/ground is present when commanded, back-probe the module output and confirm the BCM is commanding (use a scan tool to command while observing output).
Disconnect connector and measure pump motor resistance across its terminals. Compare to expected range. If open or out of range, replace pump.
Bench-test the pump by applying direct battery power through an inline fused lead to verify pump operation and measure current draw. Replace pump if it fails or draws excessive current.
If pump and wiring check good, test continuity between connector and BCM; repair any open/shorted wiring or poor grounds.
If wiring is good but no module output is present or output behaves incorrectly, consider replacing or reprogramming the BCM / control module following manufacturer procedures.
After repairs, clear codes, perform functional test of washer system, and road/test wipers/washer to verify repair. Re-scan to confirm code does not return.
