  2. Attempt lock/unlock while watching live status for the passenger door lock; note command and response times.
  3. Visually inspect the passenger door harness, connector and grommet at the door hinge for damage, corrosion or water entry.
  4. With ignition on, check for battery voltage at the actuator connector while commanding lock/unlock. If no voltage, trace back to module.
  5. Perform a wiggle test of the harness at the hinge while commanding locks to try to reproduce the fault.
  6. Disconnect the actuator and measure resistance of the actuator. If open/very high, bench-test actuator with 12 V to verify operation and current draw.
  7. Check continuity from actuator connector pins to the BCM/door module connector pins. Repair any open or shorted conductors.
  8. Inspect and clean connector terminals; repair or replace corroded connectors or harness sections (pay attention to factory repair splices).
  9. Verify good chassis ground at door and BCM. Restore proper grounding if needed.
  10. After repairs, clear codes and perform multiple lock/unlock cycles and a road or door-use test to confirm repair. If wiring and actuator are good but fault persists, consider module diagnostics or replacement per manufacturer procedures.
