  3. Visually inspect the AUX jack and wiring for damage, foreign material, or corrosion; clean if required.
  4. Check fuses and verify 12V ACC and ground at the head unit connector. Repair any power/ground issues.
  5. Backprobe or measure the AUX detect signal while inserting/removing the plug to confirm the detection circuit changes state.
  6. Check continuity of L/R audio and detect wiring between the AUX jack and the head unit; repair any opens/shorts.
  7. Inspect connectors at the head unit/amplifier; disconnect and reseat. Look for bent pins or corrosion.
  8. Scan for CAN/LIN communication errors. If bus issues exist, follow bus diagnostics (check termination, short/open, module faults).
  9. If wiring and connectors are good, update infotainment firmware to latest level and clear DTCs.
  10. If code returns after software update and wiring checks, consider replacing the AUX jack or the infotainment/audio module per manufacturer guidance. Verify repair by retesting AUX operation and clearing codes.
