  3. Measure sensor output voltage with key ON and while engine is running at idle and under load (road or dyno). Compare to expected values. If voltage is stuck low, suspect wiring or sensor.
  4. Inspect connector and wiring for corrosion, damage, or water ingress. Repair/clean connector and retest.
  5. Check continuity from sensor signal pin to ECM pin and check resistance to ground to detect shorts. Repair any open/shorted wires.
  6. If wiring and connectors are good, substitute known-good sensor or bench-test replacement sensor per OEM procedure.
  7. If sensor replacement does not clear the fault, consider ECM input circuit testing or module replacement following manufacturer guidance.
  8. Verify turbo boost system integrity (intercooler, hoses, clamps, wastegate actuator) to rule out mechanical causes of low boost. Repair as needed.
  9. Clear codes and perform road test to confirm the fault does not return and that boost behavior is normal.
