Diagnostic algorithm

- Inspect and test resolver/position sensor signals and generator speed signal for correct waveform and timing. Replace or repair sensor if signals are missing or erratic.
- Measure stator and rotor winding resistance (if serviceable) and perform an insulation resistance test between windings and chassis ground.
- Examine inverter coolant flow and temperature. Overheating can cause intermittent power electronics faults—repair leaks and restore coolant as required.
- Check HV connectors, contactors, fuses and ground points for high-resistance joints. Clean, repair or replace corroded terminals.
- If electrical checks point to inverter or generator internal faults, follow manufacturer procedures for component isolation and replacement. Consider ECU/inverter software updates and re-learn procedures after repair.
- Clear codes and perform a road/test cycle to verify repair. If fault recurs, capture live data and consider module bench testing or replacement per service manual.
