  • Scan CAN/LIN network for communication errors and module presence

Signal parameters

Diagnostic algorithm

  1. Retrieve all codes from all modules and note freeze-frame/occurrence conditions.
  2. Verify battery voltage and ensure stable supply during testing (>=12.4 V).
  3. Inspect fuses/relays for transmission/Cedrive circuits; replace if faulty.
  4. Perform a visual inspection of the Cedrive connector and wiring for corrosion, damage, or water ingress; repair as needed.
  5. With harness disconnected, check for proper power and ground at the Cedrive connector (key ON).
  6. Check continuity between Cedrive ground pin and chassis ground; measure resistance of power feed for excessive drop.
  7. Use a scope or multimeter to verify communication on CAN/LIN lines and that the Cedrive module is present on the network.
  8. If the Cedrive drives solenoids, measure coil resistance and verify outputs from controlling module (PWM or switched power) while monitoring current draw for overloads.
  9. Wiggle-test harness while monitoring codes/communication to reproduce intermittent faults.
  10. If wiring and supply are good but fault persists, consult manufacturer procedure: consider reflashing or replacing Cedrive/TCM and perform calibration/learning as required.
  11. After repairs, clear codes and perform a road test under conditions that previously set the code; re-scan for return of fault.
