  5. Monitor live pump current and AFR while varying conditions (idle, snap throttle). Note if signal changes abnormally or is stuck high.
  6. If wiring and heater are good, remove and bench-test or replace the wideband sensor with a known-good unit. Re-scan to see if code returns.
  7. If code remains after sensor replacement and wiring checks, consider ECM driver fault and perform ECM bench test or replacement per manufacturer guidance.
  8. Clear codes and perform road test to confirm repair; re-check for pending codes and proper closed-loop operation.
