  • Measure battery voltage at the lamp connector with key ON and with lamp commanded ON
  • Measure ground continuity from lamp ground pin to chassis (low ohms expected)

Diagnostic algorithm

  2. Use a scan tool to read B13CA and any related codes; record live data for the left static curve lamp command and status.
  3. Perform a visual inspection of the left lamp assembly, connector, and wiring harness for corrosion, damage or water entry.
  4. Check relevant fuses and replace if blown; if fuse blows again, investigate short to ground in the supply circuit.
  5. With the connector disconnected, measure supply voltage at the lamp harness connector with lamp commanded ON. If no supply, trace back to the BCM/fuse/relay.
  6. Measure ground at the lamp connector; repair any high-resistance path. Wiggle test connector while monitoring voltage to reproduce intermittent faults.
  7. If supply and ground are present and within spec, bench-test or swap the lamp assembly with a known good unit (or swap left/right if identical) to verify lamp failure.
  8. If lamp assembly is good but no control output from BCM, check BCM wiring continuity and inspect BCM grounds and power supplies. Replace or repair wiring as required.
  9. After repair, clear codes and road-test to confirm lamp operates under normal conditions and codes do not return.
